But, if too many dead cells are shed at the same time or too quickly, that could cause dandruff issues, especially when there’s too much oil in the scalp. Though, to be fair, no one seems to definitively know the cause for dandruff. And conversely, as opposed to too much oil in the scalp, dry scalp is when there’s a lack of moisture.
